You can repair your Hull in a few places, including:

The cheapest way to repair is to trade in admiral favorability points for a cheap repair. If you don't have them, then it costs you a bit. You can also repair at sea using up supplies, but not recommened. If no money and no supplies, you may be pretty much screwed.

Repairing your ship at sea only costs time, but it can cost a great deal of time depending on how much damage there is. This means you will be eating up supplies while conducting repairs. You may or may not be using fuel depending on if you have your lights on. if you can find a well lit place next to shore you don't need your lights on, so you can repair while using no fuel and without risking a mutiny.
