I just bought a new Crestliner Commnader 1850, only had it out twice so far but all is good. Great performance with 150hp, I maxed out. looks like a very well put together boat inside and out, lots of options. only downside was that it came with a Mercury.

It’s stronger, and when done correctly by pros like the Crestliner welders, does not weaken the metal. It’s more attractive – who would want to look at a boat with all those ugly rivet heads? Over time, rivets get loose and leak. Hit a rock, and welded boat will just get a dent. The Lund might blow out a dozen rivets!
I had a Crestliner 1600 Fishhawk and found it to be a good boat. I have it for sale now only because we bought a larger Triumph. I think Crestliner makes one of the best aluminum boats.

In Aluminum I would go with the Crestliner, very good boats and reasonable, they will usually hold up better than most others. There are other brands you may want to consider as well, maybe no better structurally but maybe more friendly laid out.
