The incorporeality of moving ships is a known issue. Once it's fixed, we'll hopefully be able to move about ships en route to make repairs, board small craft, or fight as marines. It would probably also come with the ability to absentmindedly slam our ships to bits against asteroids, mountains, and other spacecraft, so that's fun too.

I've personally intercepted several of the unmanned ships that rock up and broken into them while they were still moving just like that. Turn jetpack dampers off. Requires some finesse to keep yourself "still" relative to the rapidly moving ship though. Of course, if the ship is accelerating, decelerating, or turning, all bets are off.

If you exit the bed or seat your character will really be outside the ship and your ship will continue QTing away from you, leaving you stranded. Instead, wait until your ship exits quantum travel naturally (interdiction, arrival, etc) and then get out and EVA back into your stationary ship. 12. Continue this thread.

Boarding one vessel from another can be particularly hazardous. Try to avoid it if at all possible. Never attempt this if a vessel is moving. Where it is necessary, it is normally the responsibility of the ship lying outboard (i.e. furthest from the dockside) to provide safe access to the other vessel.

Ladders, metal decks, sharp protrusions and other hazards present problems if walking barefooted. Look for Oxygen Breathing Apparatuses (OBAs) and fire extinguishers in your quarters and workspaces. Ask ship’s personnel to give you a demonstration of this important life saving equipment.

Like most other objects, boats propel themselves by harnessing Newton's three laws of motion: 1) They don't go anywhere unless a force of some kind pushes or pulls them; 2) When there is a suitable force, it makes them accelerate (move faster or in a new direction) and a bigger force will accelerate them more; 3) If a boat wants to go forward, it has to apply a backward-pushing force—just as you have to kick back with a skateboard to shoot off down the sidewalk (or push back with your legs ...

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) or positional vertigo:A brief, intense episode of vertigo triggered by a specific change in the position of the head. You might feel as if you're spinning when you bend down to look under something, tilt your head to look up or over your shoulder, or roll over in bed.

During our 10-day cruise I ran a handful of times on the ship while a sea. In most cases I simply ran indoors on the treadmill because the pool deck was crazy crowded with civilians that were busy munching down hot dogs while aimlessly wandering around and moving beach chairs onto the running track.

Healing ships?

The only unit healing mechanic I know of is hospitals and ships can't visit a hospital on land. just pull the fleet into shallow waters. They will heal over time. And you are right - there is NO hospital for them unlike for ground units. This said, ground units also heal over time - albeit slower.

Not So Obsolete, Actually. The first is that ship technology has not changed much in the last 20 years, so well maintained old ships do not carry a big cost penalty, especially when slow steaming.
